OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced and highly organised Warehouse / Store Manager to oversee all warehouse operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands‑on, operational role requiring proven experience in a manufacturing warehouse, excellent attention to detail, and strong organisational skills. Candidates with a background in agriculture or automotive sectors will have a distinct advantage.Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations ManagementOversee the daily running of all warehouse activities to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations.Manage goods inwards including unloading, inspection, quality checks, verification of delivery documentation, and accurate system entry.Coordinate goods outwards ensuring correct order picking, packing, dispatch preparation, and timely shipment.Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised warehouse environment in compliance with company health & safety standards.Inventory & Stock ControlLead and complete stock intake / cycle counts every 6 weeks, ensuring accuracy and clear reporting of variances.Implement and maintain effective inventory management practices to minimise stock discrepancies.Monitor stock levels daily and communicate critical shortages or overstock situations to management.Team & Process ManagementSupport and guide warehouse operatives, promoting a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and safety.Develop and improve warehouse processes, ensuring best practice across all areas of goods handling and storage.Liaise with production and procurement teams to ensure materials and components are supplied to the manufacturing floor as required.Administration & ReportingMaintain accurate records of stock movements, deliveries, dispatches, and returns.Prepare routine warehouse performance and stock reports for management.Use warehouse management systems or ERP tools to track, update, and report on inventory.The PersonRequirementsMinimum 3–5 years’ experience in a warehouse role within a manufacturing plant (essential).Strong working knowledge of goods receiving, order fulfilment, stock control, and warehouse operations.High level of attention to detail with excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills.Experience in agriculture or automotive environments is a strong advantage.Forklift licence and safe‑handling certifications desirable.Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with production and management teams.Must be willing to take a hands‑on role, including lifting, picking, packing, and manual handling.
