Minimum Qualifications
Have Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
Have A+ Certification (validity status of the A+ Certification is not mandatory for this role)
Requirements
Be medically fit to work in the specific business area.
Have a clear security screening record.
Have a clear credit record.
Have valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
Advantageous Qualifications
NQF 5 qualification or higher, ITIL Foundation or any relevant Microsoft or other certification/qualification.
Key Responsibilities
Proactive approach to IT network infrastructure housekeeping with regards to cabling, safety and power connections
On-time replacement / repair of hardware, operating system and related software to ensure production continuity
Provide technical support, answering support queries either onsite, remotely or via phone or email
Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to IT Policies and Procedures
Constant monitoring of Sibanye IT Infrastructure (Networks, servers and desktops)
Efficient first- and second-line IT Service support in line with the centrally defined SLA
Conduct a relevant initial analysis / diagnosis of requests to ensure timely and effective support
Resolve user requests through the application of the required level of technical knowledge and expertise
Installation, set-up and configuration of new desktops in line with required standards
Effectively prioritize time in responding to service requests
Installation and Support of Network & Local Printers
Auditing of computer equipment, tagging new equipment to monitoring assets
Additional Requirements
Have a very good understanding of Microsoft server and desktop operating systems and specifically Microsoft Active Directory
Have good knowledge of IT infrastructure, server, PC, laptop and printer hardware
Have the ability to effectively communicate with a broad base of end users
Have thorough knowledge of all products used by Business Units and supported by IT
Understand LAN/WAN networks
Job Purpose
To constantly monitor the Sibanye IT Infrastructure (Networks, servers and desktops) and to provide a support service to customers in line with SLAs.
