Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Retail Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our branch. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing branch operations and leading a team. They will be responsible for overseeing the development of the branch, including people management, sales support, and stock control.
About Your New Job: As a Retail Operations Manager, you will drive the development of the branch by expanding and developing the current customer base, supporting the sales team, and negotiating with suppliers. You will also be responsible for managing customer and branch contracts, pricing structures, and ensuring stock counts are completed, variances investigated, and aged stock minimized.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee purchasing and reordering procedures, and manage goods inwards in the branch.
* Provide support to credit control to achieve set debtors days and manage bad debts.
* Oversee transport and yard operations to maintain and monitor safe operations and provide excellent customer service.
* Generate a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement through performance coaching and training.
* Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to, and manage rosters and time sheets.
What Skills You Need: Ambitious Individual with Retail Experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, excellent negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and managing contracts, and strong organizational skills to manage stock, purchasing, and reordering processes.
