We are located in Loughlinstown, Co. Dublin. Role Summary Applications are invited for the post of Social Care Worker supporting individuals with an intellectual disability in our Respite Service. This is a person centred, dynamic and challenging 24/7 service. Minimum Requirements Reporting to the Social Care Leader, you should have the following: Minimum of QQI level 7 in Social Care / Applied Social Studies / Social Care Studies Or relevant healthcare qualification. Be registered with CORU or have the CORU approved qualification. Minimum of 1 years' experience of working with individuals with an Intellectual Disability Knowledge and understanding of HIQA Standards & other relevant legislative requirements under the Health Act 2007. Proven track record in initiative, and motivation in activities planning and community building. Commitment to delivering service through a person centred/directed approach. Programme Development / Skills Teaching. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Flexibility in all aspects of work and able to meet the demands of a 24/7 respite care service. An understanding of the values and ethos of the organisation and a commitment to implementing these. Full clean manual driving licence essential. Remuneration The DOH Salary code 3029 - €40,851 - €57,217 Location The location of this role is Dublin South East. The Respite house is located in Loughlinstown, Co. Dublin. There will be a flexible approach adapted for roster management to meet the needs of those we support and foster a good work life balance. However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG CS's other places of business or/and the premises of such associated s companies or organisations as SJOG CS may require.
