Job Overview
An exciting opportunity to oversee the procurement, stock management and coordination of heavy building materials for a well-established building provider based in Cork City.
Responsibilities:
* Procure and manage stock levels of HBM, monitoring usage and reordering materials as necessary.
* Liaise with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
* Conduct regular inventory checks and manage stock discrepancies.
* Coordinate with the accounts team to ensure payment terms are met and invoices are processed correctly.
* Manage customer inquiries, addressing product information and processing orders.
* Collaborate with sales representatives to discuss new orders and delivery schedules.
Requirements
* Proven experience in supervisory or management role within heavy building materials or construction industry.
* Strong understanding of inventory management and stock control.
* Excellent communication skills, with ability to engage effectively with customers and internal teams.
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in building materials or construction supply industry, ideally in supervisory role.
* Experience handling quotations, orders and customer communications is essential.
