What You Will Do
* Design and implement complex systems, including architecture, documentation, testing, and execution
* Evaluate and integrate new technologies across various domains
* Support platform technology selection and design
* Work independently with surgeon customers, communicate design goals, and incorporate feedback
* Ensure compliance with relevant industry requirements in collaboration with other disciplines
* Maintain and improve engineering practices and methods
* Mentor team members on engineering best practices and tools
* Coordinate project schedules and communicate progress effectively
* Perform comprehensive problem analysis and develop solutions
* Support the adoption of state-of-the-art technologies
What Will You Need
* Bachelor's degree in Science, preferably Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering; Master's preferred
* 8+ years in product design within Orthopaedics or similar medical device industry
* Proven leadership in technical teams
* Experience with orthopedic implants' function, clinical issues, and performance
* Experience leading complex product development from concept to release
* Knowledge of design controls and risk management in regulated environments
* Proficiency with parametric CAD software, preferably ProE
* Understanding of Finite Element Analysis and its applications
* Ability to influence cross-functional teams and make informed decisions
* Mentoring skills to guide individuals and teams towards best practices
