Overview
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the accuracy and consistency of the General Ledger (GL) across multiple entities, including Cook France. The role aims to standardise, automate and manage exceptions within GL processes.
Responsibilities
* Accounting responsibility for European and North American Entities, tasks may include working with local auditors, posting journal entries, analysing accounts and completing statutory returns.
* Manage GL projects and tasks to improve processes and systems, including Chart of Accounts, Fixed Assets, Accruals, Prepaids, Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Coding.
* Oversee project allocations of staff cost globally.
* Collaborate with Business Analysis, Statutory and finance teams to ensure accurate monthly/annual reporting.
* Analyse GL entries and resolve issues to ensure accuracy.
* Develop and use GL reports through SAP Business Intelligence.
* Maintain and support our Chart of Accounts.
* Support leadership in interpreting financial data, tracking objectives and facilitating financial planning and forecasting.
* Assist with other related finance tasks as required.
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years experience in continuous improvement, project management or analysis in a multi-national company required.
* Shared Service experience beneficial.
* Accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is essential.
* Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with people at all levels.
* Ability to work well in a team environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability as required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word) is required.
* Second European language an advantage.
