Solar Energy Project Developer
We are seeking a skilled Solar Energy Project Developer to join our team in Dublin. As a key member of our project development team, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of large-scale solar energy projects from conception to commercial operation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the development of solar energy projects from green-field sites through to commercial operation.
* Tender and negotiate with professional services, equipment suppliers, and contractors to ensure project delivery.
* Support the Renewables Land Management Team in implementing, acquiring, and controlling project development, design, and construction for renewable energy projects.
* Collaborate with the Renewables legal department to ensure document assurance, particularly for land agreements.
* Coordinate project-specific engagements with stakeholders, organizing project messaging, consultation events, and regular communication with community stakeholders and the wider design team.
* Liaise with Transmission System Operator/Distribution System Operator (TSO/DSO) regarding grid connection processes.
* Interact with statutory and non-statutory consultees to develop best-in-class renewable projects.
* Manage project-specific elements of the company's Renewables Programming department.
* Oversee subcontractor programs to ensure timely project progress, milestone achievement, and adherence to critical industry milestones.
* Implement industry best practices in project controls, reporting, and performance management.
* Coordinate project reporting and data presentation for senior management.
* Effectively manage each project's suite of PMO documents and processes, including individual project schedules, budgets, reporting, stakeholder, and risk registers.
Requirements:
* A degree qualification in Engineering, Construction, Environmental Science, or Planning.
* At least 2-3 years of planning experience in an Irish context on industrial solar development.
* Familiarity with PVECAD Solar Array drafting and PVSyst principles.
* Experience with GIS/shapefiles and/or AutoCad is desirable.
* Liaising with local authorities and the consenting authority on all project planning issues.
* Cost, revenue, and cash flow management.
* Proven ability to manage and lead teams across all aspects of project development as well as multiple stakeholders (internal and external).
