Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the smooth operation of the QS department and supporting the Managing QS and Contracts Manager in the overall running of assigned contracts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quantity surveying principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Agree project budgets and manage all project costs
* Report on the overall performance of the project
* Prepare monthly CVR and accrual reports
* Analyze preliminaries performance on the project
* Approve outgoing sub-contractor and supplier payments
* Provide direction to site colleagues on contract obligations and responsibilities
* Administer contracts from start-up to final account with the Contracts Manager
* Attend and contribute to site meetings as required
* Manage overall costs on the project and any variations
* Procure sub-contract packages
* Manage sub-contract packages and sign off sub-contractor payments
* Prepare monthly valuations
* Manage project accounts and cash flow forecasts
* Audit financial position of construction budgets
* Implement value engineering proposals
* Review sub-contractor and supplier performance
* Attend site progress and cost meetings
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying
* Min 7+ years' experience working with main contractors on residential projects
* Fluent English and eligibility to work in Ireland
