Job Description

As a key member of our team, the Water Network Improvement Engineer will oversee the delivery of water network improvements in the Cork region. This exciting opportunity has arisen due to ongoing contract awards and requires an experienced professional to work on water projects in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage programmes of work to deliver new and upgrade water network improvements.
* Work alongside regional contractors to ensure projects are delivered in compliance with contracts and legislation.
* Liaise with local authorities to deliver projects effectively.
* Conduct health, safety, quality, and environmental audits and manage HSQE issues.
* Process work orders, service requests, and approvals.
* Update trackers and review as-laid drawings.
* Collaborate with IW design engineers to provide clarity on project deliverables.
* Deal with complaints and provide feedback to regional leads and IW.
* Attend and manage meetings with regional contractors and IW.
* Keep accurate records and create lists of snags for completion.
* Conduct site visits to anticipate potential problems and provide findings to IW design engineers.

Requirements:

* A minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in on-site supervision and site engineering of civil engineering works, including water projects.
* A degree in a related discipline, such as civil engineering.
* Strong knowledge and experience of health and safety procedures and regulations.
* A current and valid SafePass card is essential; confined spaces training would be desirable.
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to act within a team at all times.

* Communication: Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders through various means, including verbal and written reports, presentations, and emails.
