Finance Manager
Location: Mullingar
Contract Duration: 12 Months

Overview:
Our client is seeking a qualified, experienced Finance Manager to join their small, dynamic team based in Mullingar on a 12-month contract. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who will take full ownership of the finance function, ensuring the smooth operation of all financial processes, while contributing to the business's growth and financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the preparation and delivery of timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly management accounts, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports.
* Manage the monthly and annual budgeting processes.
* Supervise the accounts payable/receivable functions, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and deadlines are met.
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
* Prepare financial statements for audit purposes and liaise with external auditors as required.
* Work closely with senior management to provide strategic financial analysis and forecasting.
* Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with taxation obligations.
* Lead the small finance team, providing support and guidance to junior staff members.
* Assist in any ad hoc financial projects and reports as required.
Requirements:
* ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant (or equivalent).
* Minimum of 3-5 years' post-qualification experience in a similar finance role.
* Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and management accounting.
* Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Previous experience working in a small team or business environment would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of Irish tax and financial regulations would be beneficial.
