The Opportunity:
We are currently hiring for a Manager role in Business Continuity Management (BCM).
BCM is a core capability within the Enterprise Resilience team, focused on helping clients design, implement, and assure continuity frameworks that safeguard operations against disruption.
Our BCM services include:
Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and risk assessments
Disaster recovery planning and testing
ISO ***** compliance and assurance reviews
Crisis management exercises and operational resilience advisory
The successful candidate will be an experienced BCM professional with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, and a track record of operating in complex environments.
They will have a strong understanding of the BCM lifecycle, ISO ***** standards, and resilience principles.
Experience working on large transformation programmes or regulatory resilience initiatives is desirable.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaged subject matter expert who is passionate about helping clients achieve strategic goals and benefits through improved continuity capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Responsibilities:
Build strong relationships with EY clients and develop a clear understanding of their needs, priorities, culture and ecosystem to become a trusted advisor.
Perform comprehensive BCM assessments, including BIA, risk assessment and strategy definition aligned to ISO *****.
Design and implement BCM frameworks, policies and plans, including disaster recovery strategies.
Facilitate crisis simulation exercises and readiness testing.
Provide independent assurance over BCM programmes, reporting findings and actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Lead presentations and proposals for medium to high complexity BCM engagements and contribute subject matter insight to bids and proposals.
Create innovative insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership.
Drive improvements by taking responsibility for Quality & Risk Management (QRM) initiatives, ensuring compliance with EY standards.
Internal Responsibilities:
Assist in account management activities such as business development, financial management of engagements, and quality and risk management.
Build valued and supportive relationships with internal colleagues to strengthen EY's client propositions and live our values.
Develop and support presentations and proposals for prospective and existing clients.
Communicate effectively with EY senior management and work to build, manage and motivate high-performing teams.
Understand EY's service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve our clients.
Support team development activities, including training, coaching and mentoring, performance reviews and recruitment initiatives.
Skills and Attributes Required to Apply for this role:
5 - 7+ years' experience in BCM/resilience (including disaster recovery) in consulting, industry or public sector.
Strong knowledge of BCM lifecycle and operational resilience principles.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with a track record in complex environments.
Ability to lead high-performing teams and deliver high-quality work products consistently.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable presenting subject matter with minimal support.
Ideally, you will also have:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Professional qualifications such as CBCI, ISO ***** Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor, PRINCE2 or PMP.
Experience in programme assurance, PMO, portfolio management, benchmarking and best practice.
Experience with crisis management exercises and regulatory resilience expectations.
Developing and conducting training and awareness programs on business continuity.
Coordinating and conducting regular testing of operational resilience controls.
