Job Summary/ OverviewThe Law Society of Ireland is the educational, representative and regulatory body of the solicitors' profession in Ireland. With a proud history dating back to 1830, the Law Society plays a central role in maintaining standards within the legal profession and ensuring the integrity of legal services in the public interest.The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Scheme Unit is responsible for managing and auditing solicitors' compliance with annual CPD requirements. These requirements are set to ensure solicitors maintain and enhance their professional knowledge and skills throughout their careers. The CPD team monitors compliance, handles queries, provides guidance on CPD obligations, and supports regulatory enforcement processes where necessary.We are seeking a detail-orientated and highly organised Administrative Assistant to join the CPD Scheme Unit.Job ResponsibilitiesSupport the administration of the annual CPD compliance audit process.Preparation of CPD applications for the Society's Education Committee.Maintain and update records in internal databases, and generate reports as required.Assist in the preparation and issuing of CPD audit correspondence and documentation.Monitor and respond to incoming communications (email, telephone, post).Ensure compliance with relevant data protection and confidentiality policies.Provide general administrative support to the CPD Executive as required.Assist with team projects and contribute to process improvement initiatives within the Unit.Key RequirementsMinimum of 3 years' experience in a similar or administrative role.Proven skill at communicating and building relationships with professionals.Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data handling.Excellent written and verbal communication skills through English.Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload and schedules effectively.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).Experience using databases is an advantage.Familiarity with compliance, audit, or CPD processes is desirable but not essential.A professional and discreet approach to handling sensitive information.Remuneration & BenefitsSalary (DOE)Excellent working conditionsTraining & development opportunitiesPensionHow to ApplyTo apply for this role, please click on the 'Apply Now' box.Closing dateClose of Business on Friday, 30 January 2026.We thank you for your interest in the Law Society of Ireland and your interest in this role.
