Location

The Willows, Dundrum – 26-28 Willow Road, off Wyckham Park, Dundrum, Co. Dublin. Visit Dublin+1

Reports To

Service Manager and/or Head Waiter/Waitress

Job Purpose

To support the front-of-house team by delivering food orders from the kitchen to the tables quickly, accurately and with a friendly attitude, helping to maintain the high standards of service and atmosphere that The Willows is known for as a warm, community-focused pub and dining venue. Key Responsibilities

* Collect plated meals from the kitchen and deliver them to guests in a timely manner.
* Ensure each dish is correct, well-presented and matches the order slip.
* Assist the wait staff by clearing empty plates, utensils and glassware from tables.
* Refill water glasses and offer additional beverages as needed, or alert servers.
* Maintain cleanliness in the service stations and dining area (e.g., wipe down tables, check for crumbs, tidy condiments).
* Support table set-up between seatings (placing menus, napkins, cutlery) as required.
* Communicate any guest concerns or special requests promptly to the server or manager.
* Adhere to health & safety, food hygiene and pub licensing regulations.
* Assist in other duties during busy periods (e.g., restocking service stations, helping with carry-out orders).

Required Skills & Qualities

* A friendly, positive attitude and excellent guest-service orientation.
* Physical stamina: able to stand, walk and carry trays for extended periods.
* Good communication skills and a team-player mindset.
* Attention to detail and ability to keep calm under pressure during busy service times.
* Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safe handling practices.
* Punctual, reliable, and a strong work ethic.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and potentially busy pub events.

Desirable

* Prior experience in a pub, restaurant or hospitality environment.
* Familiarity with Irish pub culture and service dynamics (The Willows is a traditional local pub with dining service). Visit Dublin+1
* Ability to assist in simple bar or drinks service if needed during peak periods.
