As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a fixed term basis.Job PurposeThe Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the company's weekly payroll for a diverse workforce. Working as part of the Finance team and closely with HR the successful candidate will ensure full compliance with all statutory regulations and internal policies. This role plays a key part in delivering an efficient and confidential payroll service to all employees, while supporting continuous improvement and data accuracy across HR and payroll systems within a fast-paced high volume manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess weekly payrolls for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Irish tax and employment legislation.Respond to employee queries relating to payslips, deductions, and entitlements in a professional and timely manner.Maintain payroll data in the Payroll & HR System and time & attendance systems; reconcile hours, overtime, leave, and shift premiums.Collaborate with HR to ensure seamless integration between payroll, timekeeping, and employment data.Manage payroll changes for new hires, leavers, and contract updates, including statutory entitlements and deductions.Submit Revenue returns (PAYE Modernisation, PRSI, USC) and ensure full compliance with statutory obligations.Prepare monthly payroll reports and reconciliations for Finance and HR, support audits and year-end processes.Monitor legislative updates and implement required payroll process changes.Maintain accurate, confidential payroll records in line with GDPR.Support system upgrades or HR/payroll-related improvement projects.Maintain and update payroll records with a high level of accuracy and confidentialitySupport the overall Finance Team by demonstrating flexibility in providing cover for team members as required.Undertake any other assignments and duties as may be reasonably required.Requirements3+ years' experience in a payroll processing role, ideally in a high-volume or FMCG environmentStrong knowledge of Irish payroll legislation and Revenue systems (e.g. PAYE Modernisation, ROS)Experience using payroll softwareProficient in Microsoft Excel and data reportingExcellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and discretionStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesDesirableIPASS qualification (or working towards it)Familiarity with Payroll & HR SystemsExposure to volume payroll processingWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits packageOpportunity to work within a dynamic, market-leading FMCG businessCareer development and learning opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative team cultureJob Type: Fixed termBenefits:On-site parkingWork Location: In person
