About the Company
Codec is looking for a Portfolio Manager to join their growing ROI/Dublin team!
Responsibilities:
1. Successfully deliver programmes of high complexity, leading by example, being visible and accessible, and setting the tone and pace for the programme.
2. Clearly communicate engagement goals and success criteria, specify required outcomes.
3. Set clear priorities, maintain focus on the critical path.
4. Establish supportive and effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
5. Operate in a contractually compliant manner and ensure the client meets obligations.
6. Establish effective governance and controls.
7. Regularly report on programme performance clearly and accurately.
8. Understand and safeguard the critical path.
9. Anticipate and mitigate risks, resolve exceptions.
10. Focus on benefits tracking and realization throughout delivery.
11. Meet or exceed programme success criteria.
12. Own and lead client and subcontractor engagements, acting as the 'figurehead' for the program.
13. Build and nurture positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
14. Communicate effectively and influence positive outcomes.
15. Understand client culture and adapt engagement strategies accordingly.
16. Understand the client’s business case.
17. Direct and engage the programme team to maximize client satisfaction.
18. Exemplify and role-model Codec values.
19. Apply team and people management skills to build and optimize high-performing teams.
20. Engage the team, foster trust, and build a positive team culture.
21. Coach, guide, and direct Senior Project Managers and PMO Leads.
22. Influence, organize, and direct the programme team.
23. Address poor performance constructively and encourage team contributions.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:
At least 5 years of recent experience delivering complex programmes using waterfall, agile, and hybrid methodologies.
* Demonstrate depth in commercial, financial, and risk management.
* Influence programme profitability.
* Introduce innovations and efficiencies, proactively mitigate avoidable costs.
* Drive successful commercial and financial outcomes.
* Ensure contractual compliance.
* Identify, manage, and mitigate risks effectively.
* Apply sound judgment, anticipate opportunities and threats, and take timely action.
