Key Responsibilities:

8. Stay informed about industry trends and prices through market research.
9. Collaboration and Communication:
10. Work closely with engineering, estimating, surveying, and construction operations teams to understand project requirements.
11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement strategies align.
12. Provide input on design changes to optimize costs.
13. Cost Optimization:
14. Negotiate favourable terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality or delivery schedules.
15. Analyse price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonable prices.
16. Order Management:
17. Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
18. Track and expedite orders to meet production and project timelines.
19. Resolve issues related to shortages or quality discrepancies.
20. Risk Mitigation:
21. Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.
22. Maintain awareness of market trends, geopolitical events, and other factors impacting the supply chain.
