ABOUT THE ROLE
Eakin Healthcare require a Community Stoma Care Nurse to join their team in Ireland providing an excellent level of care to patients following their discharge from hospital. The growth ambition for the business within Ireland relies heavily upon the reputation of this nursing service. With ambitious plans for the future, we are seeking to strengthen our team by recruiting a dedicated Community Stoma Care Nurse for a territory in the Dublin region and surrounding counties.
Although we can be flexible on territory, size and working days for the right candidate, it should be noted that the role is a part time position, ideally working 22.5 hours per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide a professional stoma care service to patients in the community based on a defined referral pathway.
Receive patient referrals from hospital and community health care professionals.
Provide required feedback to referring healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate clinical records.
Deliver teaching / training for carers, family and health care professionals.
Keep up to date with relevant products available within the Irish market.
Provide feedback to marketing and research and development.
Undertake continuous personal development.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Essential
Registered Nurse Qualification.
Registered with NMBI.
Stoma or colorectal background.
Full clean driving licence and access to a car.
IT skills including Excel.
Flexibility to meet patient and service needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work autonomously, be dynamic and forward thinking.
Comfortable working in the community often at patient’s home.
Able to work remotely as part of a dispersed team.
Able to accommodate administrative tasks and small product stock at home.
Desirable
In possession of or be willing to work towards a dedicated stoma care qualification.
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal
Work closely with nurse advisors to discuss patient referrals, share market information and ensure continuity of service.
Regular communication with other departments including marketing and research and development.

Continual communication with referring nurses and patients in order to implement the appropriate care plan.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Extensive local travel in your area.
Occasional travel to UK mainland will be required.
