Project Manager Embodied Carbon & Building Sustainability (Ireland) €74,701 Do you work with buildings, sustainability, life-cycle assessment or energy performance and want to see your expertise applied at scale? Do you understand that modern building performance is no longer only about operational energy, but about embodied carbon across the full life cycle of a building? Our client, a progressive energy organisation with a strong technical and sustainability focus, is expanding its Embodied Carbon in Buildings team and is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of new embodied carbon methodologies aligned with evolving European building regulations.
Location: Dublin, Cork, Dundalk or Sligo (hybrid working) Salary:€74,701 per annum 18-month fixed-term contract Reporting to the Programme Manager Technical Standards, you will manage and contribute to the development and implementation of life-cycle Global Warming Potential (GWP) methodologies for buildings.
The role supports how embodied carbon is calculated, assessed and disclosed within building performance frameworks.
You will work closely with technical colleagues across high-performance buildings, Building Energy Ratings, technical standards, software systems and construction products, translating complex data and policy requirements into practical, usable outputs.
Essential Requirements Degree (minimum NFQ Level 7) in Environmental Science, Engineering (Structural, Civil, Mechanical or Environmental), Building Services, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Sustainability, Circular Economy, Economics or a related discipline Minimum four years relevant experience in building design, structural design, life-cycle assessment or similar technical roles (postgraduate study may be considered) Demonstrated experience in data extraction and analysis Strong project management capability and experience contributing to business process development Excellent written and verbal communication skills Desirable Experience Postgraduate qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Architecture or similar Familiarity with Building Energy Ratings (BER) and BER methodologies Experience with sustainable building standards such as LEED and/or BREEAM Knowledge of LCA tools and datasets including IGBC Indicate, Ecoinvent, Open LCA, Sima Pro or Ga Bi Understanding of EN 15978, EN 15804 and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) Familiarity with ISO 14040, ISO 14044 and ISO 14025 Knowledge of BIM, Revit, ICMS or technical data formats such as JSON, XML and CSV Experience delivering positive stakeholder or customer outcomes Why Consider This Role?
