Job Description
This is a developmental opportunity; no prior experience is necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career growth.
Duties
1. Answering visitor inquiries about the organisation and directing visitors to appropriate contacts.
2. Sorting mail and answering incoming calls, including checking the answering machine.
3. Arranging appointments for guests to meet with staff.
4. Collecting and distributing post.
5. Checking and managing office supplies.
6. Organising supplies for lunch, tea, and coffee breaks during training events.
7. Supporting meeting preparations.
8. Providing broadcasting support, including organising promotion listings, downloading, and saving programmes, and liaising with presenters and producers.
9. Updating the community notice board and proactively finding local events.
10. Managing social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter) related to programme and training activities.
11. Coordinating and documenting work experience/placement participants, booking pupils into dates, and informing coordinators.
12. Managing sign-in functions, visitor books, and liaising with building security for after-hours access.
13. Assisting with studio and equipment bookings.
14. Promoting events, programmes, and training organized by the organisation.
15. Liaising with members, studio staff, and station managers to facilitate programming schedules.
16. Supporting training preparation and delivery, including setting up training rooms.
17. Organising training courses for members and staff.
18. Supporting various project work related to programmes at Near Media Co-op.
Eligibility
Eligibility to participate is generally linked to being 21 years or over and receiving a qualifying social welfare payment for at least 1 year, or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Verification will be done by the Department.
