The appointee, while employed via the landlord, will carry out their day to day duties under the direction of the HSE and will adhere to all HSE Policies and Procedures including Child Protection and Vulnerable Adults policies. The appointee will ensure that all staff, service users, etc. are dealt with in an appropriate manner ensuring dignity and respect at all times.

Role Of Porter/Concierge - Newcastle West Primary Care Centre
To be responsible for the opening of the Primary Care Centre each morning - Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays
Provide additional onsite assistance as required to direct;
* Clients to the HSE services and waiting areas
* Staff / service providers to bookable clinics and meeting venues
* Delivery Personnel
* Other visitors as arising
Act as a point of contact and undertake related record keeping and follow up for;
* Maintenance, security and cleaning issues with the management company and log on a maintenance portal.
Receive and sort HSE post including registered post and deliver same within the building.
Provide support (where appropriate) to HSE staff where difficulties arise in the centre.
Assist with deliveries and ensure secure receipt and storage of goods in accordance with agreed standard operating procedures as set out by HSE.
Advise HSE patient on the location of clinic.
Monitor any trespassing and antisocial behaviour and liaise with the Gardai if required.
Provide oversight of the carpark and address issues as they may arise.
Ensure the set down area is appropriately used and ensure access to the building remains unimpeded.
Assist with movement of furniture and equipment as required
Monitors the premises for safety hazards and reports any concerns to management.
Setting up of meeting rooms as required
Assist in ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of communal areas and ensuring that rubbish is not allowed to accumulate thereon.
Ensure rubbish is left in the appropriate bin compound area for collection at the arranged time.
Before leaving in the evenings, inspect the premises to ensure that it is secure e.g. Windows closed etc.
To ensure implementation of any policies and procedures in respect of the day to day running of the building as set out by HSE.
Be aware and comply with HSE Health and Safety Policies / Fire Safety policy / Incident reporting / Data protection.
Advise building manager manager of any incident arising in the facility and co-operate with any follow up requirements.
Any other duties appropriate to the role that may be assigned from time to time.
