Our Purpose
At our Supplier Quality Department in Medtronic, plc, we partner with Medtronic's suppliers to deliver the highest quality and most reliable products to our customers. The Senior Supplier Quality Engineering Supervisor leads a team of Supplier Quality engineers who work with external suppliers and in a cross-functional Medtronic team on a daily basis to resolve supplier related issues, drive continuous improvement while driving key quality metrics across the Parkmore campus. They will liaise with our extensive network of suppliers to execute on quality improvements, cost savings, while managing and implementing supplier and Medtronic driven changes. Part of a larger team within the supplier quality department, this role would support post-market quality for components supplied to Galway.

A Day in The Life Of:
* Guide, grow, and motivate a talented and diverse team responsible for the supplier quality.
* Participate in the ongoing development and scaling of the organisation in line with business demands and ensure that we have the skillsets in place to deliver predictable outcomes.
* Grow and nurture cross-site and cross-functional relationships in a large, multi-site, matrixed organisation.
* Support and ensure the achievement of project objectives and milestones.
* Actively mentor, coach and ensure career development plans are in place for direct reports.
* Understand and comply with company policies & procedures and external standards & guidance.
* Generate solutions to process engineering and organizational challenges.
Key Skills & Experience
* Minimum Level 8 Degree or higher in Engineering, Science, IT or related discipline and desirably with experience in a similar role.
* 5+ years' experience with a history of supporting and driving development and growth.
* Excellent team building, communication, people management and management skills.
* Dynamic team player and mentor and can work effectively and proactively on a global team.
