Overview
Assistant Manager, Fund Operations at HarbourVest Partners. This position falls within the Fund Accounting Operations Team, which performs operational processes on a centralized basis for all funds using a consistent, standardized approach. The Assistant Manager supports the department by reviewing a variety of operational workflows on a cross-fund basis, develops the team, and manages workload. Responsibilities include review of fund expense allocations, generation and review of capital account statements, distribution notices, quarterly reports, processing of cashflow-related data, running reports to satisfy client and regulatory requests, and other data input, system uploads, report generation/review, and data reconciliation.
This role is based in a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
* Oversee an operations team to ensure completion of work assigned, in line with established deadlines, by following standardized procedures, workflows and templates.
* Review team\'s daily and monthly data reconciliations, perform data validation, manage system uploads and provide timely feedback to team members.
* Ensure compliance with documentation standards, including creation of a standard documentation package evidencing work performed, conclusions reached, and signoff.
* Develop processes and workflows to continue to improve and enhance operation procedures the team is responsible for.
* Prepare ad hoc requests and contribute to Fund Accounting Operations Team projects related to continuous improvement.
* Other responsibilities as required.

Education Preferred
* BS/BA (or European equivalent) – Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting
Experience
* 6+ years finance/accounting experience, private equity experience a plus
