We are seeking a motivatedCivil Site Engineerto join a leading construction and civil engineering firm to work on a large civils contract for a residential developer.
This role is ideal for an engineer with 2+ years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced site environment and is looking to take on significant responsibility in setting out and project coordination.Key ResponsibilitiesSetting Out:Perform accurate setting out and levelling for groundworks, drainage, and structural elements using Total Station and GPS equipment.Technical Oversight:Interpret and implement engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring all work on-site aligns with the design intent and building regulations.Quality Control:Conduct regular inspections and maintain detailed records (Check Sheets, RFI logs) to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and compliance.Sub-contractor Coordination:Supervise site teams and sub-contractors, ensuring project milestones are met safely and efficiently.Health & Safety:Ensure all activities strictly adhere to the site safety plan and HSA regulations, participating in daily briefings and safety audits.Reporting:Assist the Site Manager in tracking progress, managing material requisitions, and compiling daily/weekly site reports.About YouEducation:Degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline.Experience:2–5 years of experience in a site engineering role within civil or building construction.Technical Skills:Proficiency in setting out (Total Station/GPS) and a strong command of Auto CAD.Knowledge:Deep understanding of Irish building regulations, health and safety legislation, and BCAR requirements.
