We're looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Marketing Manager to oversee and unify the marketing efforts across a collection of hospitality venues in Galway. This role requires someone with solid experience in the sector, a sharp eye for detail, and a genuine appreciation for what makes great hospitality experiences memorable. Please note this role is not a hybrid role and work from home is not an option.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop and execute marketing plans that support each venue's commercial goals and character.
● Lead on the design, promotion, and delivery of events — from live entertainment and food-focused promotions to seasonal campaigns.
● Work closely with operations teams to ensure all marketing activity is timely, practical, and drives measurable results.
● Manage all digital channels, including social media, email marketing, websites, and advertising campaigns.
● Maintain and evolve each venue's visual identity and tone of voice, ensuring brand consistency without losing individuality.
● Build partnerships with local organisations, promoters, and media to increase visibility and footfall.
● Monitor performance data, generate regular reports, and make clear, evidence-based recommendations.
● Lead and support a small in-house marketing team — setting direction, providing mentorship, managing workloads, and fostering professional growth.
● Coordinate with external designers, photographers, and digital specialists.
Essential Requirements
● At least 5 years' experience in a senior marketing role within hospitality, events, or related sectors.
● Proven track record in creating, marketing, and managing events that attract a public audience.
● Strong understanding of how hospitality brands connect with customers — in person, online, and in the local community.
● Confident communicator, able to write clearly, brief others effectively, and present ideas to stakeholders.
● Working knowledge of digital tools including Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, email platforms, and basic website CMS systems.
● Comfortable managing budgets, timelines, and competing priorities.
Desirable
● Knowledge of the Galway hospitality scene.
● Experience launching new venues or repositioning existing brands.
● Skills in content creation, such as photography, design (e.g. Canva or Adobe), or video editing.
What We Offer
● A leading role within an established, independent hospitality group.
● Scope to shape marketing direction and bring creative ideas to life.
● A collaborative culture where input is valued and initiative is welcomed.
● Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
