Whether you’re an experienced clinician looking to focus more heavily on surgery or develop a particular clinical interest, or a confident junior vet comfortable with basic medicine and routine surgery who’s keen to progress, we’re keen to talk. We’re open to shaping the role around your experience, interests and long-term goals.Your day-to-day work will include consultations, routine procedures, dentals and medical case work-ups, all within a supportive environment that gives you the time and resources to work cases up properly. If surgery is your passion, we’re very open to building a stronger surgical focus into the role.Work-Life Balance That’s Actually RespectedOne of the standout features of this role is the lifestyle it offers. There’s no out-of-hours or on-call work, no bank holidays, and a predictable rota that keeps your evenings your own. The role is based on a 40-hour week (with part-time options available), worked Monday to Saturday between 8.30am and 6.30pm, with just one Saturday in three (9.30am –4.00pm ).A Modern Hospital With a Strong Support NetworkShenick Veterinary Hospital is well-equipped with digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory and hydrotherapy facilities. This allows for internal referrals, collaboration and excellent professional support.On site, you’ll be joining a close-knit team of vets, nurses, a clinical director and dedicated support staff who value teamwork, communication and quality care.Who We’d Love to Hear FromYou’ll be a VCI-registered Veterinary Surgeon, confident in routine consultations, case work-ups and standard surgeries.
