Ethos Engineering is looking for a highly skilled Senior Project Mechanical Design Engineer with 8+ years of experience. You will lead the design of mechanical building services for data centre, industrial/high‑tech, and commercial projects across the EMEA region, managing the full project lifecycle from concept to handover. In this senior role you will supervise project delivery, nurture client relationships, mentor engineering staff, and ensure all deliverables meet our quality standards.
Responsibilities
* Oversee multiple projects across the EMEA region, managing the full project lifecycle.
* Ensure project delivery while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
* Mentor and guide engineering staff, ensuring team deliverables meet quality assurance standards.
* Coordinate with the project lead on large projects, delivering and controlling required tasks.
* Prioritise, delegate and manage team workload to meet project deadlines.
* Report progress to Group Management Team for transparency and alignment with organisational goals.
* Maintain quality control within projects and manage resources to optimise execution.
Qualifications
* Minimum 8+ years of mechanical design experience within the Data Centre sector.
* Hold a professional qualification.
* Strong communication skills and ability to represent Ethos in client meetings.
* Excellent report‑writing abilities, explaining complex engineering issues simply.
* Good understanding of HVAC and building controls.
* Experience in plumbing and drainage system design is preferred.
* Ability to lead projects, take briefs, and deliver on large projects.
* Prior experience training and mentoring junior and intermediate engineers.
* Knowledge of contract terms and conditions to control scope creep.
* Strategic delegation skills and resource management expertise.
