Ergo are seeking an IT Systems Engineer for a long-term contract role in Dublin or Wexford. As an IT Systems Engineer you will act as a point of escalation for Junior (L1/L2) Engineers while supporting a small number of sites within an ITIL environment. In addition to BAU the successful candidate will be involved in project work and should be confident in a Team Lead role.
You should have strong experience in the Microsoft 365 stack, ITIL and possess an Irish Driving License .
This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence 2 / 3 days per week.
What will you do?
* Provide technical support for a variety of users using IT services, e.g., staff, Board members, contractors, partners, etc.
* Solve problems while working in a team who can manage their time efficiently and prioritise or escalate technical issues to ensure a prompt closure.
* Deal with incidents, service requests and problems as defined by the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
* Escalate calls from 2nd line support.
* Mentor 1st Line supports helping to grow knowledge and skills.
* Visiting sites to complete IT projects
* Liaise with contracted support companies to support the ICT environment where necessary.
You should have previous experience in the following:
* Microsoft 365 stack
* MS Defender for endpoint
* MS Intune for device management
* SharePoint / SharePoint Online
* Active Directory / Entra ID Administration understanding forests, domain, and access control
* Windows 10/11 Operating Systems
* Microsoft SQL Server
The following is also required:
* Full Driver's License
* Fluent English
* ITIL certification (or willing to obtain)
