has partnered with a client in the public sector space. We are on the search for a
Senior Oracle Developer
to their team based in Athlone. This opportunity is for a 6 month daily rate contract.
Hybrid
working, with 2 days required on-site in Athlone per week.
Role Responsibilities:
* Facilitating the achievement of goals established for the projects to which assigned
* Assisting with database design and implementation
* Development and maintenance of package code / stored procedures on an ongoing basis to support development teams across the organisation
* Troubleshooting and resolving database problems, including database tuning
* Determination of any shortcomings of database system and recommending improvements
* Advising developers on best practice and optimal approach in the use of PL/SQL
* Provision of support for data analysis and data-driven decision making
* Completing assigned tasks related to phases of development lifecycle of enterprise applications within given scope and timeframe requirements
* Developing customised reports
* Mentoring and facilitating skills transfer to other staff
Role Requirements:
* Advanced PL/SQL with 7 years' experience
* 7 years' experience in the Oracle development toolset
* 7 Years' Oracle Forms and Reports
* Experience in the development and maintenance of PL/SQL packages making full use of the latest features of PL/SQL, with specific emphasis on advanced PL/SQL
* Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Oracle Forms/Reports, including the creation/modification of forms and also the management of forms server configuration files and the installation of forms
* Demonstrate knowledge of Linux & Windows Operating Systems including batch scripting
* Demonstrate knowledge with SQL Developer
* Demonstrate experience in skills transfer in relation to Oracle Forms, Reports and PL/SQL
