The Role
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic Senior Infrastructure Engineering Manager who is committed to their work, and should be comfortable working in a fast paced, highly flexible environment. The role will be responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of a global network infrastructure. This is a great opportunity for an experienced manager to demonstrate their technical and organisational ability, working in a small team of engineers at the cutting edge of IoT technologies.
In this role you will be:
* Managing a team of highly experienced engineers and network architects.
* Accountable for the Strategy, Delivery, and Operations, of globally distributed infrastructure.
* Setting OKRs and conducting performance management with the team.
* Ensuring the continuous flow of work through the team to deliver on company targets.
* Validating 3rd party solutions and systems are performant and cost efficient.
* Driving the success of geo redundant connectivity solutions.
Requirements
* People Management skills with an engineering background.
* Ability to coach, mentor, and develop the team.
* Vendor negotiation and relationship building skills.
* Familiarity and experience with the following required: BGP, OSPF, IPSEC VPN, MPLS, VXLAN.
* Firewalls – Fortinet, CheckPoint, Juniper, or similar.
* Management of Hybrid cloud – Azure, AWS, Data Centre, Virtualization, Linux, Storage.
* Contribute to and guide IP network infrastructure design and implementation.
* Experience working in a NOC environment preferred.
* Proven track record in working with small teams.
* Excellent spoken and written English.
* Previous experience working to aggressive timelines essential.
* Commitment to provide a high quality and professional service.
* Ability to prioritise work tasks.
* Adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
* Effective problem-solving skills.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure.
