Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Bar Manager to lead our Food & Beverage Department and deliver exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing high-performing teams, driving sales growth, and ensuring operational excellence.
Main Responsibilities
• Ensure the Department operates in a guest-focused manner, striving to exceed expectations and build customer loyalty.
• Develop and implement effective yield management strategies to achieve highest possible revenue.
• Manage beverage cost lines, purchasing, sales revenue analysis, stock control, and stock takes.
• Direct supervisors and team members to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service.
• Arrange bookings, table plans, and delegate work effectively.
• Ensure all Food & Beverage charges are raised according to company procedure.
• Maintain and control expenditure on crockery and glassware purchase.
• Adhere to liquor licensing laws and ensure compliance on all occasions.
• Assist in food and beverage stock taking and generation of GPs.
• Implement company human resources policies, including recruitment, selection, grievance, discipline, performance appraisal, communication, and reward management.
• Communicate effectively at all levels, attending management meetings.
• Manage, motivate, and train employees to ensure high standards of service and control.
• React to changes in business levels to control department costs and expenses.
• Implement company procedures in the event of fire or emergency.
• Maintain hygiene standards as set out by the Company.
• Adhere to company Health and Safety policy and current Health and Safety legislation.
• Report any problems re: failure of machinery and small equipment to the Maintenance Department.
• Participate in company internal and external training as required.
• Carry out any reasonable requests by Management/Company.
• Report daily operating issues to Management.
• Deputise when required.
Requirements
• Previous experience in a similar role with demonstrated business/industry awareness.
• Courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service.
• Standards-driven and detail-oriented, with the desire to progress within the luxury market.
• Ability to lead, multi-task, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional image through appearance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in 4* properties preferred.
