The Client and overview of the opportunity: My Client are an established c.€100 M+ turnover Main Contractor.
They have a good name in the market and over 80 years of continuous trading.
This business are hiring for the future and are keen to bring people in who would like to progress over time.
This is their first project in Connacht but they are actively tendering for more works and expect to win more commercial or heritage projects in the West and Mid-West over the coming months.
This Contract was awarded on the last working day of 2025 and they got to site in the back end of January.
The overall is expected to last 3-4 years.
We are searching for an experience Senior Site Manager/Assistant Project Manager to manage a complex €50 M Contract for a 5* Hotel Renovation project.
You'll be reporting in to a Project Manager/Contract Manager and will be the most senior person on-site.
As this is an established, close-knit team, we're also looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team, takes pride in what they do and seeing others do well.
Key Responsibilities: Work closely with Contracts Manager and Contracts Director to ensure smooth-running project which makes money for the Company.
Manage on-site Construction Activities, ensuring Project Milestones are met.
Supervise and Co-Ordinate Subcontractors, Suppliers, and Trades.
Manage EHS as per Company and Industry standards.
Ensure Quality Control and adherence to Project Specifications.
Manage site records, progress reports, and day-to-day problem-solving Monitor project costs and ensure resources are used efficiently.
Requirements: Like to do this properly; to high standards and safely.
Decent communicator - inflated ego's won't go fit this team but you will have to be confident enough to make key decisions and a strong enough character to influence people to get the job done! Degree qualified in Construction Management or having a trade background + previous Site Management experience.
7+ years of Construction experience as a Site Manager/Senior Engineer/PM or Assistant PM.
Strong knowledge of Construction Practices, Regulations, and Safety Standards.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain project schedules.
