Bakery Operative

Working pattern: The site is operational 24 hours per day, 365 days a year. The rosters will be determined by the line manager, one week in advance of work, to a maximum of 40 hours per week, excluding Overtime. You will be required to work from 20:00 each day, 5 days a week
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
* All aspects of food production, food safety, and all other activities which support food quality and Operational Excellence.
* Working on the production line, from mixing to baking to packaging to ensure a premium service is delivered to our customers throughout Ireland and UK.
* Always maintain high level of hygiene, clean as you go and adhering to Health and Safety codes in FMCG Industry.
* Ensure all deadlines and deliveries are made on time and of the highest quality.
* Develop and be accountable for a safety culture that creates a work environment where no one gets hurt.
* Ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to standards based on McCloskey's H&S Framework.
* Support fellow colleagues and assist with all related culinary activities.
* Ensure component compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
Candidate Requirements:
* A minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience in professional bread / pastry baking
* Basic oral communication skills and the ability to work as a team player.
* Trained in food safety and manual handling.
* Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (minimum of 8 hours a day).
* Able to lift flour sacks (up to 25kg in line with manual handling guidelines)
* An interest in the food production/baking industry
