Security Staff – Opium, Dublin City Centre

We are now looking to add Security Staff to our team at Opium. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere in a stylish, high-energy setting, this could be the perfect role for you.
What You'll Be Doing
* Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all guests and staff across our venue, including the main floor, garden, and event areas.
* Providing a confident, friendly, and visible security presence at key points, including entrances and high-traffic zones.
* Managing entry queues, ID checks, and crowd flow with professionalism and discretion.
* Supporting the team during busy nights and private events with crowd control and incident prevention.
* Responding calmly and efficiently to any incidents, including emergencies or first-aid situations.
* Upholding venue standards and working closely with management to foster a respectful, enjoyable environment.
* Conducting routine checks and security patrols throughout the night to ensure order and safety.
What We're Looking For
* A valid PSA (Private Security Authority) licence – Door Supervisor licence essential.
* Previous experience in venue, bar, club, or event security is a strong advantage.
* Calm under pressure, respectful, and confident in busy, fast-paced environments.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – firm but approachable.
* Availability to work late nights, weekends, and public holidays.
* A team player committed to maintaining Opium's high standards of hospitality and safety.
