Senior product engineer - inventory

Nory
Product engineer
Posted: 6 November
Offer description

Let’s fix hospitality, for good. Hospitality is tough – margins are thin, waste is high, and teams are stretched. But it doesn’t have to be this hard. That’s why we built Nory.
Nory is an all‑knowing restaurant management system that blends real‑time data with AI predictive analytics, giving operators control of their margins. From food prep to forecasting, it’s operational intelligence that helps restaurants run with consistency, certainty and profit. The result? Thriving restaurants, better jobs, less waste, healthier margins.
Nory is growing rapidly: Fresh off a Series B led by Kinnevik, we’ve grown to over 70 people across Ireland, the UK and Spain – and demand is scaling faster than we ever imagined.
Senior Product Engineer – Inventory Management
In this role you will shape the future of our inventory platform by architecting scalable solutions, mentoring peers and directly boosting our customers’ efficiency and sustainability.
Our tech stack is Python, React, TypeScript, Node.js, FastAPI, various AWS services (e.g. Fargate, Aurora, SQS), MongoDB, PostgreSQL and Docker. Please note that you must have the right to work in the UK/EU to be considered for this role.
What You’ll Be Doing

Rapidly iterate on the product to meet the needs of new and soon‑to‑be customers, working closely with users to improve it based on real‑world usage.
Plan, build and ship new high‑impact features that make inventory management smarter, more powerful and ergonomic for our users, helping them become more profitable and environmentally friendly.
Evolve our data model to support increasingly complex needs, getting data technologies, structures and patterns right.
Build self‑serve functionality for users and create tools for the customer success team, enabling them to configure the app with reduced reliance on engineering support.
Improve the architecture and design of our system, reinventing parts of the application continuously to meet new use cases and levels of scale.

What You’ll Bring

Full‑stack technical depth: 8+ years of experience across the stack, with solid production‑level capabilities in both frontend and backend.
Systems thinking and design: you contribute to technical architecture, design scalable systems and take a long‑term view of platform evolution.
Product and customer mindset: you seek to understand customer problems, shape solutions that drive value and proactively improve the user experience.
Ownership, autonomy and start‑up readiness: you act with urgency, thrive in ambiguity and proactively unblock yourself and others to maintain momentum.
Collaboration and communication: you work effectively across functions, communicate with clarity and support a remote‑friendly, async culture.
Learning mindset: you embrace feedback, pursue growth and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

What You’ll Get In Return

Meaningful equity: everyone at Nory is an owner.
35 days of paid leave per year (including bank holidays).
Comprehensive private health insurance via Irish Life (Ireland) and Axa (UK).
Enhanced parental leave and baby loss support.
Learning and development culture: €1,000 personal annual budget plus quarterly book budget.
€250 home office workspace budget.
Regular team off‑sites and socials.
Offices in London or Dublin.
