HVAC Design Engineer

An excellent opportunity for an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to join a leading supplier of HVAC products at an exciting time of expansion. Reporting to the Design Manager, you will be responsible for the design and re-design of HVAC systems.

The Role:
- Supporting consultants, trade, and end users in developing HVAC system designs for commercial, industrial, and residential projects, considering factors such as energy efficiency, thermal comfort, indoor air quality, and sustainability.
- Conduct load calculations, equipment selection, duct sizing, and other design calculations under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Assist in preparing design specifications, drawings, layouts, schematics, and diagrams using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Ensure that HVAC designs comply with applicable building codes, regulations, industry standards, and client requirements.
- Participate in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities to ensure proper functioning and performance of HVAC systems.
The Person:
- Minimum of four years in the HVAC industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC design principles, load calculations, equipment selection, and ductwork design. Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and industry practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in using CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit to create and modify design drawings is an advantage but not essential.
