Purpose of the PostThe post holder will be involved in planning, developing, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating evidence‑based, quality‑assured education and training programmes for registered nurses, midwives and other staff categories, as relevant and as service need dictates.ResponsibilitiesJoin a team of Nurse Tutors where specialisation is encouraged. All Nurse Tutors will be expected to become BLS Instructors and Manual Handling Instructors (if not already registered). If the successful applicant has a Cardiac, Critical Care or Emergency Care background, there is an option to become an ACLS Instructor.Take a lead on Respiratory Care, Spinal Handling, Oncology, Incontinence, Stroke Management and Pain Management.Education and training programmes must be based on the most up-to-date evidence and research, and provide an engaging and challenging forum that fosters collaborative learning, reflection on practice and innovation. The principles of quality and patient safety must underpin and be applied to all programmes.Candidate will demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and willingness to respond to new challenges within a dynamic team. Nurse Tutors are expected to facilitate learning and actively involve themselves with the clinical team to promote development in practice and build strong working relationships within the clinical areas.
