Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Health & Safety Officer to join our team in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health & Safety Management Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the company's Safety Management System.
* Review and update safety policies, the Safety Statement, and other documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Maintain the EHS legal register and stay current with evolving regulations and best practice standards.
* Lead internal safety audits and inspections; support external audit processes.
* Manage risk assessment programmes and investigate incidents and near misses.
* Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
* Track and report EHS performance metrics to senior management.
Requirements:
* A qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
* At least 3 years of experience in a similar EHS role, ideally within chemical manufacturing or high-compliance environments.
* Strong knowledge of EHS legislation and best practices.
* Experience conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
