FPGA Engineer - ASIC / Electronic Circuit & System Design / Space
We are seeking an FPGA Engineer to join a leading high-tech company specializing in Inertial Sensors for Space and Aerospace applications. This is a permanent role based in Dublin, Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and specify FPGA blocks.
2. Create design documentation including requirements, specifications, and test plans.
3. Perform FPGA lab verification, system integration, and testing.
4. Support existing design and board test activities.
5. Collaborate on system architecture, schematic design, and PCB layout within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Requirements:
1. Extensive knowledge of FPGA design flow including verification, synthesis, placement & routing, timing closure, and power estimation.
2. Familiarity with memory technologies, communication protocols, and interfaces such as UART, SPI, and I2C.
3. Lab experience with oscilloscopes, signal generators, and analyzers.
4. Experience in electronic circuit and system design across analog, digital, and power domains.
5. Knowledge of embedded systems and processor architectures.
6. Proficiency with version control tools like SVN and GIT.
