We are working with a growing financial services advisory team seeking to appoint a Risk Consultant to support clients across a range of risk, regulatory and compliance projects.
This role offers exposure to both quantitative and non-quantitative risk, including fund risk oversight, regulatory frameworks and financial crime, providing a strong platform for developing a well-rounded risk skillset.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of risk and regulatory engagements across financial services clients
Contribute to the development and enhancement of risk frameworks, policies and procedures
Assist with risk assessments across areas such as market risk, liquidity risk and financial crime
Support compliance and AML reviews, including control testing and framework evaluations
Analyse financial and risk data to identify trends, exposures and areas for improvement
Assist in regulatory projects, including implementation of new requirements and readiness reviews
Prepare reports and present findings to internal and client stakeholders
Liaise with key stakeholders including management, auditors and regulatory bodies
What We’re Looking For
Degree in finance, economics, mathematics or a related discipline
3–5 years’ experience within financial services risk, compliance, AML or consulting
Understanding of risk frameworks and regulatory environments (e.g. UCITS, AIFMD, AML/CFT)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data effectively
Experience preparing reports and communicating findings to stakeholders
Professional certifications (e.g. ACA, ACCA, ACAMS, ICA or similar) are advantageous
Exposure to data tools or programming (e.g. Excel, Python, VBA) is beneficial but not essential
