Trade Counter Sales Essential: Strong working knowledge of parts and tools. hours 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30am to 5pm on a Friday, and work 1 in 3 Saturdays Job Purpose To deliver professional and efficient customer service while driving sales across parts (primary focus) and tools & equipment (secondary range). The role involves front counter, telephone and email sales, proactive business development, and effective stock coordination. Key Responsibilities Manage front counter, telesales and email enquiries. Process orders accurately and provide product advice. Proactively develop new sales and achieve agreed targets. Handle cash sales invoices and ensure payment prior to dispatch. Order and receipt stock; coordinate outbound orders with warehouse. Manage warranty claims and service exchange parts. Maintain shop displays, replenish stock and uphold housekeeping standards. Complete daily deliveries as required. Communicate promotions and support social media activity when needed. Attend training and occasional trade shows. Adhere to all procedures and report any safety or equipment issues promptly. Skills & Experience Required Essential: Strong working knowledge of parts and tools. Proven sales and customer service experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong IT and systems ability. Numerically accurate with strong attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Negotiation and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated and proactive. Customer-focused and team-oriented. Flexible and dependable.
