The Multi-Site General Catering Manager is responsible for leading and managing catering operations across multiple venues or client sites. This role ensures consistent service delivery, food quality, and operational efficiency while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Oversight:
* Manage day-to-day catering operations across multiple sites.
* Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and service standards.
* Monitor compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations (e.g., HACCP).
* Team Leadership:
* Recruit, train, and supervise catering managers and staff at each site.
* Conduct regular performance reviews and staff development sessions.
* Foster a culture of excellence and teamwork.
* Client & Event Management:
* Liaise with clients to understand catering needs and expectations.
* Oversee menu planning and customization for events and regular service.
* Ensure successful execution of events, from setup to breakdown.
* Financial & Resource Management:
* Develop and manage budgets for each site.
* Monitor food costs, labor costs, and profitability.
* Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors.
* Strategic Planning:
* Implement operational improvements and standard operating procedures.
* Analyze performance metrics and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
* Support business development efforts and client retention strategies.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in catering or hospitality management, ideally across multiple sites.
* Strong leadership and organizational skills.
* Excellent communication and client relationship abilities.
* Proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, and inventory management.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
* Degree or certification in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred.
Desirable Skills:
* Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
* Flexibility to travel between sites and work irregular hours.
* Experience with digital catering management systems and reporting tools.
