About the Job:
A dynamic and motivated individual is required to manage the daily operations of a wastewater treatment plant in the West Cork region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both water and wastewater treatment processes and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
The key responsibilities of this role include routine operational duties, regular maintenance tasks, process monitoring, and completing record sheets. Heavy manual work may be required from time to time. Daily laboratory testing for essential treated and raw water parameters is also an essential part of this role.
This position requires proficiency in computers for checking plant trends on SCADA and using other software programmes that are part of the daily routine. Awareness of the need to follow formal procedures and safe working methods is essential. Flexibility with hours of work is vital for this role, including weekend work and bank holiday work.
Additional duties as requested will be discussed during the interview process. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also highly desirable.
To be successful in this role, you will need experience in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants. Similar process experience will also be considered. A full clean driving licence is obligatory, as well as the ability to ensure timely access to the site within the responsibility of the role.
