The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years' experience in business development or field sales, within building materials, construction, or trade sectors. They will be able to develop and execute targeted sales plans, identify and engage new customers, build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, and understand the full product portfolio.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Develop and execute targeted sales plans to grow revenue and increase market share in the Midlands.
* Proactively identify and engage new customers - including builders, contractors, and developers.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to boost retention and spend.
* Attend site visits, client meetings, and industry events to build rapport and raise brand presence in the region.
* Monitor local construction trends, competitor activity, and client needs to shape your sales strategy.
**Requirements**
* 3-5+ years' experience in business development or field sales, within building materials, construction, or trade sectors.
* Demonstrated track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
* Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills.
* Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the construction industry.
* A proactive, strategic, and results-focused approach.
