Our client is seeking an experienced
Electronics & Navigational Aids Service Engineer
to support the maintenance, calibration, and repair of critical navigation systems. This role will involve ensuring equipment operates safely, accurately, and in compliance with international aviation and maritime standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out scheduled preventative and corrective maintenance on a range of navigational aid systems, including Instrument Landing Systems (ILS), VOR, DME, NDB, and related equipment.
* Perform accurate calibration and alignment of systems in line with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
* Diagnose faults using test equipment, schematics, and technical documentation, ensuring swift resolution to minimise downtime.
* Respond to urgent system issues and restore operational capability quickly and effectively.
* Conduct routine inspections and performance testing in compliance with ICAO, EASA, or equivalent standards.
* Maintain detailed records of all activities including maintenance schedules, system checks, fault logs, and corrective actions for regulatory and audit purposes.
Candidate Profile
* Strong background in electronics, communications, or avionics engineering.
* Hands-on experience with navigational aids or similar technical systems.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and regulatory requirements.
* Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety and compliance.
* Flexible and proactive approach with the ability to respond to urgent operational needs.
