The client is looking for someone who has 6 years+ postgrad experience preferably in a Consultancy role with someone eager to progress with opportunity to become associate director.Senior Structural Engineer Responsibilities:Management of a team of structural engineersDesigning of steel frames for Design & Build ProjectsConnection Design / Structural Analysis – responsible to ensure all connections are designed with sufficientDesign to ensure structural capacity to support the structure whilst being subjected to the specified ultimate forces.Continuous collaboration & enabling the detailing office to produce detailed structural models and drawings for fabrication purposes.Ensuring compliance with client requirements and contract specifications.Liaising and meeting with project design teams, architects, engineers, and main contractors to ensure projects are designed and fabricated in accordance with project specifications.Continuous collaboration with the detailing office, addressing structural design queries and ensuring connections for fabrication purposes are detailed in accordance with the engineer/contractor design intent and to meet with available steel section sizes.Technical engineering support to production management personnel and site teams.Coordination on of project-specific structural design submittals / RFI’s for client review, ensuring projects remain within contract and specification requirements.Senior Structural Engineers Specification:Minimum of a Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering.Chartered Engineer (CEng, MIEI / MICE or recognised equivalent).6 years+ experience in a Consultant Engineers practice on a range of civil and structural projectsBe chartered or near chartered with Engineers Ireland or equivalent.Have a track record in the master-planning and delivery of roads and services infrastructure projects.Strong work ethic and attention to detail.Confident in using Microsoft OfficeCommitted to CPDExcellent numeracy skillsFull driving licenceThe client understands the value of quality staff, ensuring that they have put in place professional working practices and in return are looking for candidates that are self-motivated and who can deliver quality work.For any more information on the role, please don’t hesitate to contactMichelle Keeley on email michelle@inform3.com or phone or 015 314 886 or 028 3089 8345.INFORM3 Recruitmentis an equal opportunities employer.
