Language Curator
Location: Remote with occasional visits to Cork site, subject to change
Working hours: 7.5h per day, 5 days in 7 (assignments of days during hiring, and subject to change).
Summary:
Join our AI team in Ireland! You will work in an agile environment carrying out data analysis, identifying and resolving issues, and collaborating with colleagues in your native language (English). We work with a major tech client improving the model for AI software systems.
Responsibilities:
* Verify content accuracy, ensuring it meets the provided standards.
* Make possible edits, fixes, or suggestions to the data content when needed.
* Make decisions on content, often with limited information on hand.
* Report any patterns of issues observed to help improve database and product performance.
* Test database tools to provide feedback for improving efficiency and accuracy.
* Work and communicate with cross-functional teams.
* Escalate issues when necessary.
Note: Occasional on-site visits may be required; travel costs to the office are the responsibility of the employee. Weekend work may be required. Schedules can be adjusted, and alternating cover is required for public holidays by the team (approx 1-2 public holidays per team member). There will be opportunities for flexibility and accommodations.
About the Candidate:
* Fluency in English
* Familiarity with MacOS and iOS
* Sharp problem-solving and analytical skills, along with the ability to learn from history and help prevent errors from reoccurring
* Highly detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
* Proven ability to maintain motivation and focus on detailed tasks
* Comfortable with navigating ambiguity, with the ability to make sound judgment calls
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Comfortable with reporting and proactively engaging with colleagues while demonstrating professionalism
* A wide range of current knowledge of events, media, social platforms, and general or specialist topics is useful
* Passion and enthusiasm for media, entertainment, music, art, and literature
Preferred Skills:
* BS/BA Degree
* Web research
* Language work - annotation, translation, transcription
* Bilingual skills in language
