Working for the Ireland Business Unit, this role is a key part of our organisational success, ensuring commitments to our customers are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
The job holder will have a consistent track record of project delivery along with demonstratable experience in developing diverse teams whilst maintaining collaborative relationships both internally with colleagues and within the client base.
Responsibilities & Duties will include but are not limited to:
Represent Omexom professionally in a wide range of project situations with various internal and external stakeholders
Ownership of deliverables relating to time, cost, and quality, ensuring safe delivery of projects
Lead, develop and support teams operating on a variety of projects
Use excellent communication skills to run and engage with internal and external partners in a timely manner
Assist with managing compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, policy and legislation
Lead projects to the requirements set out within our governance framework for project delivery
Assist with programme development and resource planning
Co‑ordinate activities, resources, materials and equipment
Provide technical support to the site team, continuously looking for improvement
Develop reports for as required for project reporting
Interact with all Client personnel as required to ensure full co‑operation on projects is achieved through good interpersonal relationships
Attend and undertake meetings with clients, contractors and consultants as required
Coordination & Management of Clients/Sub‑contractors
Work closely with the Commercial Team to manage project costs and income, ensuring commercial targets are met
Travel as required to support business requirements
Any other duties deemed necessary for the effective functioning of the Business Unit
Relationships with key stakeholders:
Regional Director
Business Unit General Manager
External stakeholders, e.g. Client, Eirgrid, ESB etc.
Qualifications and Experience:
Good commercial awareness with ability to monitor and accurately report performance against pre‑determined targets
A sound working knowledge of electrical infrastructure, Safety Rules, Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 (ROI)
Good working knowledge of computers and relevant computer packages including Microsoft office products
Exceptional customer focus
A willingness to assimilate to our Values
Experience and understanding of working within contract terms and conditions
Desirable skills and competencies:
Degree or HND in relevant engineering or technical discipline
Ability to organise and prioritize their own time and schedule
Full RoI Driving License
Sound working knowledge of broader electrical networks including distribution systems and associated plant and equipment
A passion for energy and a desire to develop new services in the market utilizing new innovative technology
Knowledge of civil works would also be an advantage
