The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and operating as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Technical will have overall responsibility for leading the Technical function as the business continues its European expansion.
The role combines senior technical leadership with strategic influence, providing governance, assurance, and direction across a growing and increasingly complex regulatory landscape.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic and operational leadership of the Technical function, building on strong existing foundations
* Own and manage all internal and external audits, ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory, customer, and certification standards
* Act as the senior technical authority within the organisation, supporting commercial, operationall and investment decisions
* Lead, mentor, and develop the Technical and Quality teams, maintaining high standards and capability
* Manage relationships with external regulatory bodies, auditors, customers, and third-party partners
* Support major Cap-Ex and investment projects from a technical, compliance, and risk perspective
* Ensure systems, processes, and governance frameworks remain robust, scalable, and fit for continued European growth
* Contribute actively at the Senior Leadership Team level, providing clear, balanced technical input to business strategy
The Person
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior Technical leadership role within a regulated environment
* Strong, demonstrable experience managing internal and external audits
* Proven ability to step into an established function and maintain momentum and standards
* Comfortable operating at the Senior Leadership Team level, with credibility and influence
* Commercially aware, pragmatic, and solutions-focused
* A calm, structured leader who brings clarity and assurance to a high-performing organisation
