Purpose of the Job
The Facilities Operator will assist and take ownership in providing Facilities Management & Facilities related projects, including moves management, space planning, administration, financial control, logistics, H&S, Energy Management of the highest quality.
Main Responsibilities
1. Carry out planned preventative maintenance on all building fabric as per the Plant CMMS / CAFM system.
2. Assist the engineering team to carry out planned preventative maintenance on all equipment under our control.
3. Ensure that all contractors and staff are H&S compliant, including management & creation of documents for SSOW.
4. Conduct property & facility related inspections.
5. Maintain an internal 'Best Practice' regime and encourage continuous improvements.
6. Liaise with the service desk / Team Lead and respond to non-technical queries in a timely manner to ensure conformance with the relevant Service Level Agreement.
7. Carry out reactive tasks to enable repairs to building fabric.
8. Assist with moving plant and equipment as deemed necessary by the client.
9. Perform daily checks on site as per client requirements.
10. Maintain fabric, including painting and decorating, door furniture, office furniture etc.
11. Assist subcontractors to allow them to carry out their tasks.
12. Report any out-of-place findings to the contract manager.
13. Assist with writing procedures.
14. Monitor subcontractors and their associated services.
15. Track and resolve facilities activities and requests in a timely manner, ensuring feedback is provided on each issue.
16. Liaise with department engineers and other support personnel to identify and solve problems.
17. Complete training deemed necessary by your line manager within the agreed timeframe.
18. Familiarize yourself with all relevant site systems to complete the role.
19. Assist with quotations and purchasing when requested.
20. Take on ad-hoc projects from time to time as deemed necessary by the Client and / or Team Lead.
Requirements
1. Previous experience in a similar position and environment.
2. Experience of the mechanical element of building services would be beneficial.
3. Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
4. Excellent customer service skills.
5. Good communication skills.
6. Able to appreciate the importance of taking ownership of allocated functions.
Working Hours
Tuesday to Friday: 8 AM - 4:30 PM, Saturday: 8 AM - 3:30 PM
